THE second session of the 2011-12 Coach Education Programme will take place at Clifton RFC on Monday, February 6 (7pm).
The free quarterly initiative gives coaches from the across the region a unique opportunity to develop a greater understanding of the game.
Led by Academy coach Matt Sherratt, session two will focus on 'coaching through games and breakout skills'.
The 90-minute session will look at the theory behind game sense coaching and then provide practical ideas about how to coach specific areas of attack and breakdown, within a game situation.
Sherratt, pictured, said: "The first session proved a success, with over forty coaches of all levels and ages attending.
"Based on the feedback we received last time, coaches highlighted a need for practical ideas on coaching through the median of games."
If you would like to attend, but are not registered, please email your name, plus club/school to press1@bristolrugby.co.uk by Friday, February 3.
One of Stockwood Sharks Under-15s brightest young stars, Martin Graham, is currently in the Bath Royal United Hospital, after being rushed into the intensive care unit suffering from Guillian-Barre Syndrome.
Graham, who did not feature in last weekends featured match against Dings Crusaders, complained of having aching legs during training, and decided to seek medical advise.
Guillian-Barre Syndrome occurs when the body's defence (immune) system mistakenly attacks part of the nervous system, causing muscle weakness. The good news is that Graham is expected to make a full recovery, although, he is unlikely to be able to play rugby for at least 12 months.
Filton College take on new ASSE South table-toppers, Ivybridge College today at the WISE Campus (2pm kick-off). Filton, who occupy second spot in the division, simply have to win today if they are to finish in the top-two, and secure one of the semi-final places.
The North Bristol College will be hoping to knock Ivybridge off top spot, and then back it up by winning their final league match at St Paul's College on Febuary 29. A pole position finish would secure a home semi-final, most likely against Hertfordshire-based Oaklands College. Finishing second in the division would probably mean travelling to local rivals Hartpury College.
