Bristol is bracing itself for an influx of zombies at the weekend…
-
Bristol Zombie Walk.
Thousands of people dressed as animated corpses are expected to be marching the city's streets on Saturday afternoon (October 27).
Meeting at Kings Square (off Jamaica Street, Stokes Croft) the scary brigade will head along a route that eventually ends at Castle Park. (A map can be seen at the Facebook event). There will be stewards at all road crossings and most turn points.
It promises to be quite a sight so feel free to post any scary photos on this website.
Even better people can submit videos of the walk to us via - http://www.newsflare.com/assignment/148/entertainment-arts/bristol-zombie-walk-2012-edited-clips
This year, at the end of the walk, there will be live music at Castle Park from local bands, accompanied by live video and photo mixing of the march and previous Zombie Walks. Look out too for a World Record attempt to have the Most Bhangra Dancing Zombies!
The free, family-friendly event is scheduled to run until just before 8pm.
There is also be an Official Bristol Zombie Walk after party at Exchange on Old Market – about minutes walk from the park. This starts at 8pm with live bands and will go on until 4am with DJs!

Walking down union Street yesterday it was great fun watching the zombies though a few minutes later i changed my mind. Some mindless zombie with her bottle of cider frightened my 10 yr old. she came right up to her and said boo. my daughter was extremly upset and wanted to go home. In future zombies dont pick on the kids!!!

As long as they don't bring a truck filled with Sno-Balls they might be ok.

ReportGood luck to them - and hopefully the "anti tesco/capitalism/paying your way" crowd don't bandwagon jump and try to turn it into a vehicle for their own purposes.......
