FREE WiFi is being launched at Nottingham's two leading shopping centres.
Intu Victoria Centre will have free WiFi from today (12 September) and it will be introduced at intu Broadmarsh later this month.
The move is part of the aim of centre owners, Intu Properties plc, to boost the shopping experience for customers at its centres.
It is a big investment for both centres, a first for the city and will be a great facility for Nottingham people.
The installation of the new fibre optic network will provide high quality broadband throughout both centres. Through free WiFi, customers will be able to stay in touch with news and social networks and stream and watch live videos.
Liz Sewell, marketing manager at intu Victoria Centre, said: "Intu has a clear aim to improve the whole shopping experience for its customers.
"Installing free WiFi is a significant investment and another addition to the exciting times ahead we have here at the centre," Liz added.
The installation of free WiFi at intu Broadmarsh and intu Victoria Centre is part of the roll out of an £8 million digital infrastructure plan by intu at its centres across the country.
