Former world boxing champion Glenn Catley cuts a ribbon to launch the new Piri Piri Corner store, owned by Janad Raja and Shabir Hussain
Piri Piri Corner, which has another outlet in Stapleton, launched its second shop in Clifton Triangle.
The official VIP launch was conducted by professional boxer Glenn Catley, former world champion in the super middleweight division, who cut the ceremonial ribbon.
Shop owners Janad Raja and Shabir Hussain said they were thrilled to be investing in these difficult economic times.
They are planning to open more stores in the coming year.
Ms Raja said: "We are a family business that has spent £120,000 on the building and the restaurant and are delighted to be investing in Bristol, while so many other businesses are closing down.
"Our first chain has been a huge success and we are therefore looking to build upon this achievement by launching a new venue every six months around Bristol and Bath."
Piri Piri Corner specialises in authentic Portuguese chilli cuisine.

Great news for the business. Just to correct the Post here though. Stapleton Road is in Easton, it's a historic route to Stapleton Village which is at the other side of the next motorway junction, and the start is about 1.5 to 2 miles from here. Their Stapleton Road outlet is in Easton.

ReportGood old B.E.P. making a story out of a want for free advertising.. they might have deleted the information from the owners with the photo first before re-writing the same garbage. If those are REAL Policemen in the photo, I hope that the Avon and Somerset Constabulary have charged these two businessmen the appropriate fees !!!!!
