The final properties on the Beacon House phase at Crest Nicholson's Harbourside development have been released for sale.

It means house hunters wanting to live in the city centre and overlook the floating harbour have one final opportunity to do so before it's too late.

Beacon House is part of The Crescent, the sweeping arc that has not only proved hugely popular with a range of house hunters but helped transform what was a derelict eyesore into a thriving community where people now live, work and enjoy their leisure time.

This last release, which comprises 10 properties, also heralds a major milestone in the development's history with 262 of the 272 properties available in The Crescent having already been snapped up by those eager to make the most of living in the vibrant city centre.

And while the combination of a waterside location, high-quality finish of the apartments and proximity to the city centre have been major factors in attracting discerning home-buyers, for many, the 'oversized' nature of the properties means people are being hard pushed to find anything comparable in terms of size across the whole of the city.

Susan Young, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson is delighted with the progress made and is urging anyone thinking of buying to get a move on to avoid missing out.

Susan said: "Those lucky enough to have bought at Harbourside are the envy of many who want to live not only close to the city centre but next to the water. The development has undeniably helped lift the area into one of the city's most desirable addresses and when you take a stroll around it's easy to see why.

"The various walkways which criss cross the development and let people access the open public spaces mix seamlessly with the various shops, restaurants, bars, galleries and apartments. The result makes for an exciting eclectic lifestyle and vibrant community that makes the most of the city-centre location.

"It can also be a very relaxing environment especially as the development overlooks the water of Bristol's floating harbour."

Susan's upbeat assessment of the development is clearly justified and is something that was recognised by Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE), the Government's advisor on architecture, urban space and public space and the Home Builders Federation (HBF) which gave the development a Building for Life gold standard.

Susan added: "We're thrilled the development has proved so popular creating its own sense of community as more people have moved in. It has across the board appeal from first-time buyers, to downsizers or those just looking for a change of scene."

Prices currently start from £249,950.
