Just two weeks to go…

Halloween seems to gets more and more popular each year and in and around the Clifton area it's no exception with numerous events for children and adults alike to get their fangs into.

Halloween market at Ashton Court – October 28

The producers market at Ashton Court which normally takes place every third Sunday of the month is back for an extra date to celebrate all things spooky this Halloween! More than 20 local producers and crafts people will take part as well some extra goings-on which include face painting and tarot reading. All that plus Halloween fancy dress and ghastly but truly tasty Halloween themed food, it's not to be missed!

Bristol Zoo Halloween Festival – October 27 – 31

Bristol Zoo's Halloween festival starts on Saturday 27 October, when youngsters can follow a Halloween trail around the Zoo.

A zoo spokesman said:

"Solve clues to find the missing word and be rewarded with a ghoulishly tasty treat. Children will be spellbound with mysterious tales at our spooky storytelling and, if that's not enough, then scary face painting* will be available throughout the five-day Halloween festival.

"On Wednesday 31 October, join our creepy costume contest and carved pumpkin competition to be in with a chance of winning a range of prizes. Any child with a carved pumpkin can enter the zoo for the reduced rate of £5 before 12 noon on Wednesday 31 October."

Vintage Halloween Thriller Party at Po Na Na

I agree - I love most things weird or spooky, but this is just ugly and crass. I don't get it - where is the charm and/or point??!
