The sales team at Crest Nicholson's Harbourside have been swamped by calls from house hunters keen to get the pick of the plots on the final phase at the award-winning, waterside development.

It follows the announcement that house hunters could register their interest for Invicta, which is to be launched in July. The sales team has now been busy taking calls from those eager to be first in the queue when the plans are released next month.

Once complete, Invicta will comprise 170 one, two and three-bedroom apartments plus a number of one-bedroom studios.

Susan Young, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson is now urging anyone interested in buying a property at the development to get in touch now.

She said: "It's very exciting news that this last section of Harbourside is to be launched. There is a rich mix of property styles and sizes and the fact that there has already been a lot of interest clearly indicates that people's desire to live next to the floating harbour in Bristol remains insatiable."

The name for the new phase draws inspiration from Bristol's link to the city of Porto in Portugal which was also known as Cidade Invicta, or The Unvanquished City.

The two cities were twinned in 1984 with links going back more than 500 years through the port trade.

Spread over five floors, plans for the building were granted in April 2011 and includes an important pedestrian link called Millennium Promenade from the Millennium Square to the Harbour Inlet. This will incorporate a rich ecological landscape and provide views across to the ss Great Britain completing the famous Brunel Mile.

Susan Young, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson said: "The arrival of Invicta and the development of Millennium Promenade are also important pieces of the final jig-saw for Harbourside which has transformed the area formerly known as Canon's Marsh into a place where people can live, work and enjoy their leisure time.

"There's no doubting that the attractions of living in the city-centre is why so many people have decided to Harbourside their home. With Invicta now on the way anyone interested should register their interest."

A few minutes walk from Park Street and Queen Square, those wanting to get to Temple Meads or the legal and financial district near Bristol Bridge can hop on the water ferry which has a designated stop outside the development.

The centre is only a few minutes walk away and there are numerous restaurants and bars close by.

Boasting stunning views of the harbour out towards Brunel's ss Great Britain, The Matthew and the countryside that surrounds the city Harbourside has become a real benefit to the city and is something the people of Bristol should not only make the most of but be proud of for years to come.
