Man armed with knife steals money from bookmaker in Shirehampton: Police witness appeal

A man, armed with a knife, stole money from a bookmaker in Shirehampton on Wednesday (February 27).

The robbery took place at 8.30pm at Coral in the High Street. The armed man entered the shop and threatened staff. He was given a small amount of money and then fled.

The suspect is described as white, about 5ft 8ins and in his early 20s. He has a medium build and was wearing dark clothing.

Enquiries are being conducted to identify the person responsible. Anyone with information about the incident should contact DC Alan Smith on 101.
