A brand new
-
Learn the art of looking beautiful with Beauty Box Training Academy
beauty academy in Clifton is being launched on 1st April 2012. Beauty Box Training
Academy has been set up by established beauty salon, Beauty Box in response to
a healthy growth in the beauty industry over the last 3 years, despite the
recession.
Bristol's
Beauty Box Training Academy will be offering courses in facials, massage, manicures,
pedicures, waxing and Beauty Box's speciality threading.
The Beauty
Box Training Academy will be different from other beauty schools as training
will run at weekends only and will have a maximum number of 4 people on each
course. This will give students the opportunity to undertake training outside
of their working week and have more individual attention during their time on
the course.
The effect
of programmes like The Only Way is Essex has seen an increase in demand for
male grooming treatments, so the Beauty Box Training Academy is offering a
course in male waxing.
There will
also be a course offered on eyebrow threading which originated from India but
has now become a big trend in the UK.
Julia
Vickers director of Beauty Box Training School explains the philosophy behind
the school:
"I wanted to
be able to offer something different from the current training available which tend
to be structured as one day courses. I don't believe one day is enough, so what
we are offering is an initial day and then further days according to which
course they are on, after the students have completed some treatments on their
friends or relatives."
It is an
ideal time to start a career in the beauty industry at a point when the
industry is still growing. Julia goes on to outline her views about the benefits
of training in the beauty industry:
"Before I
started my company in 2008 I initially started doing beauty treatments as a
hobby and it developed into a career. That's how many people start. It is also a
great way to supplement your income if you need to earn extra money as you can
work part time, evenings or at weekends. We have found that even during the
decline in the economy there has been an increase in people who like to pop in
to have beauty treatments either for a pick me up or because they would like
the treatments that they have seen in magazines and on celebrities."
Beauty Box Beauty Academy courses start on 1 April 2012 at
Beauty Box, Clifton Down, Bristol. For more information and to book your place

Beauty Box Training Academy is approved by Associated Beauty
