What's so fashionable about vintage anyway?

I have yet to understand the allure of vintage clothing. If it's fashionable to wear old fashioned things, then don't they become 'new' fashioned things and therefore not fashionable?

My dilemma and quandary is shared by few, if any, I imagine, and the new Sue Ryder charity shop opened today featuring a very popular theme. Retro and Vintage.

Cake and champagne helped the shop with its opening on 61 Park Street along with the two living dolls in the front window and the retro dressed, and made up, assistants.

The shop was full of items for sale including clothes, shoes and lots of jewelry and crockery.  I'm planning to go back when it's a little less busy. For now it's just nice to know that there is another charity shop right in the centre.

And it happens to be just a few doors down from the new Oxfam charity shop. We're just spoilt for choice at the moment.

See some pictures of the opening.

These posh charity shops seem to be very much in fashion.
