Suspected burglars arrested in Clifton today

Two men were arrested for burglary after police officers staked out a suspicious vehicle in Berkeley Square, Clifton today (September 4).

Police were called to the area at about 12.30pm following an intruder alarm being activated. They found signs of a break in at a property where electrical items appeared to have been taken.

Moments later, officers spotted a suspicious car parked nearby and they watched the vehicle, until two men were spotted returning to it, and the arrests – to a 33-year-old and 29-year-old man - were made.

Electrical equipment, which officers suspect belonged to the burgled property, were recovered.
