Family friendly fireworks at Bristol Zoo - Friday 2 and Saturday 3 November - 4.30pm – 6.00pm
Not one but two evenings of great family entertainment.
Low-noise fireworks will light up Bristol Zoo on Friday and Saturday, November 2 and 3, adding a sparkle to Guy Fawkes Night without the loud bangs that might frighten your little ones or the zoo animals.
At School Field (off Bishop Road by One Way Gararge).
Come early to catch live fire performance and installations, children's lantern parade and glow in the dark novelties.
Hotdogs and pies provided by Pieminister – licensed bar from 5pm.
Fireworks Display at St Ursula's School – November 5 – Gates open at 6pm
Gates open at 6pm for BBQ and refreshments.
Canford Charity Fireworks Fiesta – Saturday November 3 – Gates open at 6pm
Food stalls will provide snacks, hot and cold drinks. There is no bonfire or funfair rides, this is a community event with just a spectacular firework display. Also there is no car park as most people will probably walk to the event or come by local transport. The organisers emphasise that this will be a straightforward firework display in an atmospheric setting.
This hugely popular event is run by Gloucestershire County Cricket Club's Bristol region in aid of Club funds. It drew a fantastic crowd last year and this year it promises to be just as exciting.
The evening will include two firework displays; one especially designed for younger children, starting at 6.45pm, and the second at 7.15pm. Gates open at 5pm.
For added entertainment, there will also be fairground rides and sideshows. Refreshments will be available to purchase on the night.
Tickets are on sale now and are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for Under 16's. They can be purchased from the County Ground reception during office hours (Monday to Friday) or over the telephone (0117 910 8010). Free parking is available at the ground via the Ashley Down Road entrance.
