Police were in the Clifton area on Wednesday afternoon and evening (December 11) when traffic police carried out static checks - stopping passing vehicles and talking to the drivers - on Whiteladies Road and the Triangle.

They issued eight fixed penalty notices for traffic offences and took eight breath tests, which were negative.
