An opportunity to 'Come & Sing' a selection of choruses from Handel's Messiah with Adrian Partington and members of Bristol Choral Society. All are welcome - whether you know it all from memory, are dusting off that score lurking in the cupboard or want to try singing these famous choruses for the first time. The ability to read music would be beneficial, but all that is required is a voice and some enthusiasm! Please bring your own Messiah score if you have one, but music will be available to hire if required for a small additional charge.
There may not be a full BCS performance of Messiah this Christmas, but we couldn't let a whole year go by without giving people the chance to experience the very special BCS Messiah which is renowned for the vitality, articulation and emotional impact of the singing. Why not take this unique opportunity to sing Messiah with choir, and after the Come & Sing, why not stay to hear the choir perform their family-friendly 'Mini Messiah' (from memory) at 4:30pm? This magical shortened version of Messiah (with professional orchestra and soloists) is a perfect family-friendly introduction to this masterpiece, but will also be the only BCS performance of Messiah this year.
Free audience admission to Mini Messiah is included with a Come & Sing ticket.
