Leading Consultant to Host Free Event on Fertility Issues
People interested in fertility issues will have the chance to quiz a leading expert at a free event to be hosted at the Spire Bristol Hospital on Tuesday, 9th October at 7pm.
Consultant Gynaecologist Mr Valentine Akande specialises in reproductive health, subfertility and infertility and will provide information and be open for questions.
Dr Akande said: “Women of all ages can be affected by fertility problems and as many as one in six couples may have trouble conceiving, including many trying for their second child so being informed about reproductive health is vital.
“There are many factors which affect fertility and circumstances vary enormously for individuals and couples, which is why it is important to speak to a specialist if you get the chance.
“At Spire Bristol Hospital I lead a small team to provide a comprehensive range of fertility diagnostic tests for men and women.
“This open event is being staged to give people the chance to learn about the options available to them. They will have the chance to ask questions and receive expert advice to help them make informed decisions.”
Spire Bristol Hospital, a leading private hospital in the South West, runs a number of clinics and free information sessions to provide information on a range of health matters including complex and acute conditions.
The hospital at Durdham Down in Clifton, Bristol has around 350 Consultants who provide care for people in an outstanding facility staffed by 286 trained professionals.
