A Bristol factory is to build a 1,000mph vehicle that a British team will use in an attempt to break the world land-speed record.

Building will begin at the "Dog House" in Bristol Docklands near the SS Great Britain ship.

The project is dedicated to inspire youngsters to take up careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
