With more than a hint of autumn in the air, people in Clifton who may be looking for something to do during the long nights of winter can sign up for a drama and improvisation course, at Bristol Folk House on Park Street.

The 12-week course starts Wednesday, September 16, and is taken by tutor Mark Breckon.

It is part of the Folk House’s new programme of courses for the autumn term.

The course sessions run from 7.30pm to 9.30pm every Wednesday, and will cover a whole range of theatre skills and styles.

A spokesman for the Folk House said: “Escape the mundane with this enjoyable drama and improvisation workshop.

“Develop your confidence and creative spontaneity. Play theatre games, learn performance skills and storytelling.

“Explore character, conflict, humour and emotion and learn how to be creative without really trying.

“The workshop is a supportive as well as fun environment. Beginners are welcome.”

People joining the course are asked to wear comfortable clothing and also to bring a notepad, a pen and  you imagination.

The course fee is £108.00, with concessions for the over 60s, at £97.20, and unemployed people pay £66.00.
