Some more good news for the economy of Whiteladies Road as Fishminster is set to open where the Flipper kebab house used to be, by the end of March.

Fishminster opening soon on Whiteladies Road
I always had a soft spot for Flipper’s, particularly at 3 in the morning after working up a hunger at Kicker’s, but all good things must come to an end and so it did.
Now Fishminster (as seen on North Street Bedminster) is set to take its place with its mix of fish and chips, a fishmonger and a bar.
Owner Ghullom Narmani said he is very busy getting the place ready as the old kebab house has been totally gutted.
He said: “We are hoping to be open by the end of March, but there is a lot of work that we need to do. The place has been totally gutted and a lot of work is going into it.
“We will be serving fish and chips but there is a fishmonger as well and a bar so you can enjoy a glass of wine with your meal.”
If you’ve not been to the North Street site and wondering what to expect, Fishminster’s website says:
“Here at Fishminster our philosophy is simple - to offer the freshest, tastiest fish & chips using the best ingredients at an unbeatable price. "We love fish and we think it's the best fast food around - quick to prepare, delicious and good for you.
"Our fish chefs have come up with a menu that's unique and full of flavour, combining traditional favourites with modern classics to bring you the best that Britain has to offer.
"We believe in sustainability and we like to do our bit to keep the planet turning; Our fish is sustainably caught by fishermen who care; "Our chips are made from locally sourced potatoes, freshly cut on the premises each morning; We fry in eco-friendly GreenPalm oil.”
So there you have it.
The same company is also behind Cafe Ceiturica, again on North Street and Rucola on Apsley Road, which is a pretty good stable to come from.
