Foodies in Clifton are being invited to take part in a unique dining experience for a new TV show when it comes to Bristol.
Notices have popped up in the area, including at the 10 O’Clock Shop on Queen’s Road, looking for people who fancy eating dinner in an instant restaurant.
The appeal is being made by TV company RDF Television which is making a new series for BBC2 called Instant Restaurant.
Clifton seems to be the hottest location in television at the moment with dramas like Skins and Being Human filmed here, as well as Raymond Blanc’s The Restaurant.
The idea behind Instant Restaurant is that talented amateur cooks get to take over a restaurant for just one night, and in a cook-off with other contestants put their skills to the test to see which restaurant makes the most money by the end of the night.
Diners who are willing to spend about £20 will be treated to a three course menu, designed entirely by the amateur cooks.
A spokesman for RDF Television said: “We are coming to Bristol to see who’s got what it takes to create a restaurant for the night and turn a profit.
“If you want to share in the experience and give your verdict on the night, we want to hear from you.”
If you want to be a diner, or if you think you’ve got the cooking skills to run a restaurant for the night, call 970 7635, or email diners@rdfmedia.com
