Local community events - August, 2009.

It may be stretching the literal boundaries of Clifton somewhat, but as a resident of Clifton, contributor and the proximity of this event to Clifton, I believe it merits inclusion.
Party on the Hill, 2009. Sunday, 30th August ( bank holiday w/e ).
This will be the 9th consecutive year the event has been held, raising proceeds for the Bristol Children's Hospital. It is a street party extravaganza held on St. Michael's Hill, between the top of Tyndall's Park Road and Highbury Villas, basically outside the Highbury Vaults public house. The street is closed to traffic from 10.00am - 9.00pm. Music and entertainment runs from approx. 12.30 - 700pm. There is a prize draw, stalls, food, children's entertainment, etc. I supply the PA system and co-ordinate the acts. It is a free event, funds are raised through sponsorships, donations and the sale of draw tickets.
Please take a look at the website: www.partyonthehill.org.uk
We are trying to confirm the inclusion of a Farmer's Market into this year's programme.
Please support this worthy local community event.
Thanks,
Stuart Amesbury.
