More good news for the Clifton economy this week as two new businesses have sprung up at the Whiteladies end of Cotham Hill.

The first which is now open is Hair On The Hill, which as the name suggests is a new hairdresser, or more likely a stylist, being the short back and sides type I'm not sure of the difference myself. I like the reference to Hare on the Hill though.

It's opposite The Hill bar room bar, making use of a unit that has been empty for some time, which is good news.

Also opening soon is a new Indian restaurant, right next door to The Hill, called the Garam Massala.

The shiny new sign proudly boasts that it is a purveyor of fine Indian cuisine, so we shall look forward to that.

It often seems that a new Indian restaurant opens claiming to be the genuine article but then quickly reverts to type, so we shall see.

But it's great that new businesses are still starting up, particularly making use of old shops.

I thought I saw some movement around the Pickled Onion as well, but can't be sure.
