Win your Valentine a special treat in Clifton

There’s only a week to go until we all shell out on another over-hyped commercial opportunity for card, flowers and chocolate companies, or an opportunity to express how you feel about your loved one, depending on how you look at it.

Of course I’m talking about Valentine’s Day and doubtless the restaurants, flower shops and chocolate sellers in Clifton will be looking forward to some much-needed brisk trade.

Shoppers at Clifton Down Shopping Centre now have the chance to win their Valentine’s treat in a new competition.

People are being invited to leave a message for their loved one in a box and the best or most romantic message could win a meal and overnight stay, so make sure you put your name on it.

The forms to enter the competition are available from Thornton’s/Card Bar, Lloyds Flowers, Boots, WH Smith and First Choice.

All the messages will go into a prize draw, as well being displayed in the shopping centre, and those which are judged to be the funniest and/or the most romantic, will receive chocolates, flowers or a gift bag, with first prize being a meal and overnight stay.
