St Peter's Hospice is holding a festive-themed evening at one of its local shops, giving people the chance to find the perfect Christmas party outfit.

The Festive Frocks Evening will be held at the St Peter's Hospice shop on Canford Lane, Westbury-on-Trym where shoppers will be able to try on and buy from the fabulous range of party clothes and accessories.

The event is taking place on Monday 26 November from 7-9pm and is the fifth annual Festive Frocks Evening held by the shop which raises vital funds for Bristol's only adult hospice.

As well as shopping for that perfect party dress guests will be treated to some additional features newly added for this year. Beauty students from South Gloucester and Stroud College will be on hand to offer manicures at a nail bar giving the shopping experience that extra sparkle.

Twenty Golden Tickets will also be available for £5 each, which allow the purchaser to arrive early and preview the goods at 6.30pm before the doors open. They will also be automatically entered into a prize draw.

Westbury-on-Trym St Peter's Hospice shop manager Mandi Gibbs said: "The Festive Frocks Evening is always a roaring success so we are really looking forward to holding it again this year.

"It gives the opportunity for everybody to get into the Christmas Spirit and we have some absolutely fab party wear, shoes and handbags, which are all in tip-top condition.

"Shoppers will also be able to see clothes being modelled by our own special 'mannequins', view our other products which make for great Christmas gifts and take part in our tombola.

"It's a really fun, friendly evening and raises some much needed money for St Peter's Hospice so we hope lots of people will be able to join us on the night!"

St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's only adult hospice. Services are provided free of charge, but the NHS contribute just 23% of the £6.5 million needed to run the hospice yearly, meaning support from the public is essential.

Last year the hospice cared for 2,675 patients and supported over 6,000 family members including children.

Festive Frocks shoppers will also be able to pick up St Peter's Hospice Christmas Cards and diaries in store on the night as well as Superdraw tickets to be in with the chance of winning £5000.
