This is a really nice, lively place to hang out. It tends to attract the younger crowd, though by no means is it exclusive and I've met alsorts at the bar in here! Crazy decor and friendly staff gives the place even more of a buzz. Thumbs up from me!.

In the poshest part of the great city of Bristol, you will find the poshest pub youre ever likely to frequent. The setting and d£r is fantastic, and especially attractive to the local student populace. It has sofas and funky lights, as well as generally sociable and lively atmosphere. The food is as youd expect from your local pub nothing too flashy, with lots of bangers and mash, grilled sandwiches, and things with chips but is perfectly tasty, especially the generous helpings of roast dinner. Best of all though is the great range of ciders and ales available (this is the west country after all) and a real commitment to the annual Clifton Ciderthon makes it a great place to check out the best fizzy apple drinks around. Pets are also welcome, although as a family hangout its not particularly great as children are only welcome until 7pm. The staff are particularly friendly and enthusiastic, in keeping with the fantastically atmospheric d£r. It also holds a late licence, so as a local student hangout until closing at 12am it is the perfect social hotspot, especially with the excellent range of live music and entertainment on offer most nights. A really unusual, fun place to hang out and have a few drinks.
