    Top Class!

The Square is easily among the best places to eat in Bristol. Laid out with a contemporary and funky style but nothing over the top. Loads of added extras like blankets to keep you warm in the garden on a summer evening!

The food is divine. I especially like the lunch menu which is always cooked spot on. The seating is really sociable and creates a great vibe inside.

The Square Club is Bristol''s equivalent to The Ivy

Exclusive is pretty much the best way to describe Cliftons Square Club. With and annual subscription of £200, it would be fair to say that you would expect a decent level of style and sophistication, and the Square Club doesnt disappoint. Situated on two floors of the Berkley Square hotel, it overlooks the lovely Georgian Square gardens and has a wonderfully atmospheric sun terrace looking out over it. Apparently this is available for private hire, and they can even do a barbecue for you if you book in advance, which would make for an excellent occasion in a memorable setting. The fact that this is a members-only club acts to both its benefit and its detriment. Obviously £200 per year is a lot of money, but if you live within a decent distance then the Square Club will likely become your second home. Or even your first, since its probably better decorated than your flat: seriously, the decoration is full of really beautiful drapes and inspiringly original lighting designs, and the frequent art displays and installations add a real sense of creativity and vibrancy to an already gorgeous and, most crucially, enjoyable setting. On top of this, the food of the dining room area has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes, and the range and quality of the cocktails available makes for what is effectively the Bristol equivalent of The Ivy.
