Alma Tavern pub and theatre, Clifton, Bristol
The Alma Tavern is on the market for £39,000, including full fixtures and fittings. Despite the pub being for sale, it is still due to host a packed programme of events in the upstairs theatre in the coming weeks and months.
The theatre first opened its doors in 1997 when the two function rooms above the pub were transformed into a small studio space.
Down the years the cramped performance space has gained a reputation as a launch-pad for up and coming thespian talent in the city and the theatre has a loyal fan base.
A spokesperson for estate agent Christie & Co said: "The Alma Tavern and Theatre is in a Georgian building in a residential area close to Whiteladies Road.
"It is a substantial, three-storey building with a full theatre space, which is used by various theatre companies from across the region."
The spokesperson added: "The theatre offers year-round theatre productions and the pub and theatre are popular with local residents as well as students and visitors in the area."
As well as its theatre trade the Alma Tavern is also a pub and comes with a fully-fitted trade kitchen.
Nicholas Calfe, a director at Christie & Co, said: "We anticipate the Alma Tavern and Theatre will attract attention from a variety of potential buyers who will be keen to acquire such a unique business with several income streams in Bristol's Clifton area."

£39,000?! That doesn't sound like too much money needed to buy a pub, unless that's the price of the business rather than the property.
