Korfball is a fast-paced ball sport most commonly compared to netball and basketball. One major difference: it is one of the only truly mixed team sports in the world.

Korfball isn't widely known about but it's always growing in popularity and most people come to the club having never played before.  On the bright side, this means we are well used to explaining the basics!  Our club is comprised of people who have been playing for years right down to those who started a couple of weeks ago, with people in between too so you're sure to find someone about your level (whatever that might be!).

Over the summer we attended tournaments all over the country nearly every weekend, which meant lots of opportunity for camping and socialising. However, we enjoy socials all year round - you'll find us out and about in Bristol after every match.

So whether you come for the exercise, to learn the tactical subtleties of a new sport or simply to meet other people, Korfball is the ideal choice!

To mark the start of the winter season, our first 2 training sessions will be focussed on BEGINNERS! On SUNDAY 6th and 13th SEPTEMBER beginners can come along and try the sport (and the social life) for FREE!

The fun begins at 8pm (until 9.30pm, plus a visit to the pub afterwards!) in KINGSDOWN SPORTS CENTRE, Portland Street, BS2 8HL. Please come along and bring anyone else who is game!

Any queries, please email development@bristolkorfball.org or visit our website at www.bristolkorfball.org.

Hope to see you soon!

Sophie
