More to the museum than Banksy

I'm ashamed to admit that the first time I went to the City Museum was to see the Banksy show, but I have been back since because it is full of lots of great stuff. There are loads of really interesting permanent exhibitions and facts about Bristol's history, going right back to the jurrasic period when dinosaurs may have walked up Park Street. Sort of. It's also a free day out which is no bad thing these days and great for kids who aren't yet locked in their rooms plugged into video games.
