If you're after fine dining, this isn't the place for you, but for a good hearty meal and satisfaction guaranteed, this place can't be beaten. I've been there on occasions ranging from Valentine's Night meals to stag dos - the Sausage is so versatile, with the perfect blend of formality, relaxation and intimacy. Cracking little place, nice bar alongside the restauarant - I can't recommend it highly enough

I love the Clifton Sausage, but then who doesn't? Apart from vegetarians perhaps, although they are catered for as well.
Not only is there a great range of sausages and various types of mash available, but a fantastic stock of wines and I've spent a few evenings just sitting at the bar enjoying that without going near a banger.

This is something of an institution in Clifton now, virtually everyone in the area has been to the Clifton Sausage. The clue is in the title really its in Clifton, and it specialises in sausages. Really good sausages too loads of specials and exotic ones that you probably never thought could have been made into a sausage! They are largely serves with potatoes and veg, although there is a surprisingly large amount of other way of presenting them that they seem to have perfected. There is always really friendly service here too!
I regularly visit the Sausage. A pub at the front with a more intimate restaurant at the back. As the name may suggest, the speciality is a wide selection of sausages, mashes, gravies with other more traditional dishes like lamb, fish and others. Food is always excellent here and very competitively priced considering the location. Booking is advisable on weekends as it is always full when I go! A must-try.
