The Mall Newsagents, Clifton, Bristol

Monsieur Guilbert, a Swiss chocolatier brought his expertise to Bristol in 1910 opening his first store on Park Street. Shortly thereafter he opened a second store on Milsom Street in Bath.

During WWII the Park Street store was bombed and Guilberts moved to Gloucester Road. In 1958 Guilberts moved to its current location in Leonard Lane. Unlike modern day machinery lead mass production Guilberts continue to create the finest handmade, hand dipped, chocolates.

In the centre of every Guilberts chocolate is skilfully and individually hand dipped in a vat of the very finest chocolate to form a selection of flavours that is almost without equal. Rose, violet, coffee, lime, marzipan, ginger, strawberry, raspberry and orange, in a choice of dark, milk or white chocolate. The truffles are flavoured with champagne, whisky, rum, brandy, tia maria, cointreau and vanilla something for everyone.
