We are open every day apart from Christmas day, from 9am - 5:30pm in summer; 9am - 5pm in winter.
One of the best zoo’s I’ve been to. I’ll always have a soft spot for it as it was where my wife and I went on our very first date! It has all the animals you’d expect to see in a zoo and it is well laid out.

Bristol Zoo is a fantastic day out. It's enormous and there hundreds of different animals, so give yourself at least three hours to see everything. Particular highlights are the walk-through lemur enclosure, the seals' feeding time (amazing to watch!) and Gorilla Island, where we also caught the tail-end of a talk about the zoo's admirable conservation programme. The animals are all well-looked and have spacious enclosures, and there are plenty of places to stop for a bite to eat. Great value for money too.

Bristol Zoo is a wonderful day out for all the family, from young to old.
They have a wide range of animals to see, great fun activities as well as being educational. The activity centre is great with friendly staff, many of the enclosures have informative talks everyday and also there are regular animal shows on the centre green.
The recently added Zooropia is another attraction for all ages, at this height you can see right into the animal cages and get a whole new persepective of the zoo envorinment!
Some people think that the price is high for the zoo but as it is a NON PROFIT CONSERVATION CHARITY the money not only goes towards the upkeep of the animal habitast, but also goes towards conservation projects in places like Madagascar so it is definetely worth it.
Getting a yearly membership is a great option as there are seasonal events at the zoo so a good place to visit all year round
Overall - a great day out!
